Applied Technology and Management (ATM) a Geosyntec Company, is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor in our engineering practice in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, you will apply your academic knowledge and practical experience to real-world situations related to measurement of quantities for all relevant materials, equipment, and resources required for the project, cost estimation, and assist with reviewing Contractors’ interim and final pay applications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct measurement of quantities for all relevant materials, equipment, and resources required for the project;
  • Assist with reviewing the Contractors’ interim and final payment applications;
  • Track and measure the variations/change orders for Contractors;
  • Accurately measure and price using Contract drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities;
  • Assist with budget control, forecasting project costs, and preparing the monthly cost and status reports;
  • Assist with correspondence in accordance with the Conditions of the Contract between the Client and the Contractor as well as claims;
  • Identify and track submittals required for the main contract and subcontracts;
  • Review routine quantity takeoffs or quantity estimates using parameters for all commodities within each discipline and perform basic design calculations;
  • Develop quantities for undefined scope assumptions, or verify quantities provided by others; and
  • Identify inter-discipline restraints or interfaces which define activity sequence for the various Contractors.

Education and Licensure

  • Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying or engineering, or related field. (required)

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of related experience, 7+ preferred, including contract administration, project controls, quantity surveying, and procurement for civil, marine, and/or coastal construction projects; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
  • Proficiency in the estimation of civil and marine works, and strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, estimating, and cost management software. (required)
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to environmental remediation. (preferred)
