As a Staff or Senior Staff Hydrogeologist / Environmental Scientist in our environmental practice in Manchester, you will have the opportunity to apply your skills to a range of projects involving contaminated land assessment and sustainable remediation, EHS due diligence and ESG compliance, while expanding the business skills needed for a successful career in environmental consulting. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Some of the key responsibilities for our early-career positions include:

  • Field work during site investigations and remediation projects including sample collection and contractor oversight;
  • Aquifer testing and hydrogeologic data analysis;
  • Chemical data and contaminant fate & transport evaluation;
  • Data analysis/visualisation of data including the preparation of tables, maps, and figures using both industry-standard and cutting-edge applications;
  • Assistance with environmental due diligence and regulatory compliance projects.

  • Fieldwork: Up to 75%
  • Overnight travel: Up to 40%

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in geology, hydrogeology, geochemistry or environmental science. (required)
  • Advanced degree in geology, hydrogeology, geochemistry or environmental science. (preferred)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills (required)
  • Valid driver’s licence for the UK, and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
